This is a real pain in the butt! But, when my daughter was in grade school and had hair down to her butt, she got lice!. I made up my own way of getting rid of the crap!.
First!.!.!.I put her in the bathtub and washed her hair like normal!.
Then!.!.!.I put TONS of conditioner on her hair!.
Then!.!.!.I brushed her hair out, with the conditioner still in it!.
Then!.!.!.I use the lice comb in her hair!. ALOT!
I had the hot water running in the sink on low!. (My sink was right next to the tub so this was easy for me to do!.)
When I found one, I would wash it right down the sink with the hot water!. I left it running incase one of those little boogers tried to climb back up!. They don't necessarily "die" from the shampoos, but, it stuns them to where they either don't move or move very slowly!. You also find eggs and can rinse them down too!.
This way, she got to play in the bath, and I got to work very well on her hair!. Not as stressful on both of us!
The lice shampoos are so expensive and they DONT work! But you may have to get one to get the lice comb!.
Now, I did this every night for about a week!. Not as bad as it sounds!. Just something you have to do!. Also, when I was done with the sink, I poured bleach down the drain to kill anything that didn't die! Hope this helps and saves you money!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Wash all clothes in hot water and run it through the hot dryer!.
