Yes when I first started out I was so scared it would take me like 10 min to prick my finger!. I would count to 3 a million times before I did it!. And then when it didn't hurt I felt silly!. The only way to get over it is to keep trying!. Count to 3, or something and do it!. You have to build up mental strength and just be like I'm gonna do it!. I think we have all been through that, you are not alone, keep trying and after a while you will have a technique of your own and it won't be so bad!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
If you use the thin syringes, 29 gage or higher (thinner), and inject in your stomach area (not pregnant), you seldom feel it!. When you swab yourself, wait a minute or two for the alcohol to evaporate!. The stinging is usually because of that!. Also it is best to stick yourself quickly!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
I used to be very afraid, bu the needles that are used are so small they are almost painless!. I used to have my wife inject me until I got used to the pain, then I learned to do it for myself!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
