i have hives right now!. its really not as bad as like yesterday but it itches horribly!. and it hurts!. i cant stop!. im on meds for it to go away which i guess is working but i need to stop itching!. it hurts!. and it itches and my hands are like swollen so it hurts!. im misserable!. please help!. how do i stop itching!?Www@Answer-Health@Com

What meds are you taking!? Most doctors will prescribe benadryl (antihistamine comforts the itching ) and prednisone (reduces the swelling of tissues such as hives!.)
Calamine lotion or aveeno oatmeal lotion normally works pretty good for the itching!. If all else fails I think that you should go to the E!.R!. or if you can wait until in the morning to see your primary care physician!. Good luck to you and I hope that you feel better!. : (Www@Answer-Health@Com

The most common treatment for hives and angioedema is antihistamine medications!. Serious angioedema can be life-threatening if swelling causes your throat or tongue to block your airway and leads to loss of consciousness!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
