Question: Cystic Fibrosis!?
I know someone who was born with Cystic Fibrosis!. I'm pretty sure his brother and his sister both have it too!. Is that common!?Www@Answer-Health@Com

It is fairly common!. Two carriers who have children have a one in four chance of having a child with the disease!. I work in a CF clinic and we have several families with more than one kid with CF!. The one in four chance is EACH pregnancy!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
the disease itself isnt common, but yeah its not unusual for siblings to have it!. if both parents carry the gene, each kid has a 1 in 4 shot of getting it!. so i guess 3 out of 3 is really bad luck but yeah it happensWww@Answer-Health@Com
yea, it happens!. i had two cousin out of three that had it!. the treatments are much better now though, people are living much loger with the disease, so good luck to your friendWww@Answer-Health@Com
