Wow, that's a hard question to answer!. It would seem to me that you have some structural problems and surgery is usually the way to fix it, maybe!.
There are several over the counter nose sprays such as just plain ole saline sprays that could help your nostrils keep moist and help somewhat!. My advice is if you do or can't go to a ear, nose and throat doctor right now then just make the best of what you do have!. At night those Breath Right nose strips will help hold your nostrils open!. During the day keep your nostrils moist and as healthy as possible!. If nasal congestion is a problem there a several products over the counter for that too!. Ask your pharmacist which is the best!.
To avoid surgery just try to make the best out of what you do have and good luck!.

Heya! i have this problem it is called something like 'rihunitus' excuse the spelling!. Mine alternates from left to right but one is always blocked and i too breath through my mouth!. Have you tried nasal sprays i am on flixonase at the moement which is ok!. But there is one thing that really worked for me, they were Nose drops they were so strong i was only allowed to take them for two weeks followed by a course of nasal spray!. I would try sprays, drops, allergy tablets ect before surgery xWww@Answer-Health@Com

Short of shoving a pipe up your snout to keep that recalcitrant nostril open I can see no other solution other than minor surgery !Www@Answer-Health@Com
