Lump on Breast?!

Question: Lump on Breast!?
I have a lump "on" my breast, not in it!. It actually looks and feels like a scar, maybe from a bug bite or a blemish or something, but it is under the skin and not on top!. It's about the size of a BB (Sp!?) and I have had it about 6 months!. It hasn't changed/grown!. It's not painful and it doesn't move!. It feels as though it is just under the skin and not in the breast tissue!. It's also visible when you look at it, like it is discolored as a scar would be!. I don't have any other lumps or bumps, but there is a history of breast cancer in my family!. My only sister was diagnosed at 25 and died just before her 36th birthday!. She had 3 surgeries and then was diagnosed with leukemia brought on by the last chemo treatment!. Just for reference I am 34 years old!.
I guess I am looking for someone to ease my mind about this before I go to the doctor tomorrow!. I don't really think it's anything bad, but with the history of my sister I am petrified!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Answers:
Could also be some type of skin cyst---they can be pretty hard!. There's something that has to do with collagen buildup that can cause lumps!. I'm glad to hear you are getting it checked out by a doctor tomorrow!. My husband had a very large cyst removed off his back a few months ago----not cancer!.

You have only had it for 6 months, so even if it is cancer-----there are many treatments out there!.

I am so sorry to hear about your sister!. That is just so sad!.

Cancer doesn't scare me anymore!. I have a deep faith that there is something beautiful waiting for us after we die and this has helped me cope with a lot in my life!.

Take the steps, if you are not already, to get healthy, exercise, eat a great diet, many alternative magazines out there that have wonderful, health giving recipes!. My personal favorite thing to do now is Yoga, just started, and feels great!.

Good luck to you-------I've already said a prayer!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

well this could be "BOIL infection"!. BOIL infections are caused by the bacteria Staphylococcus aureus, which many healthy people carry on their skin and under their skin ( torso area ) without getting sick!. But when skin is punctured or broken, staph bacteria can enter the wound and cause infections, which can lead to other health problems!.

Well as far as I know a lump on your chest may mean that you have breast cancer!. But just in case check with a Dr!. you never know!. It may just be a bug bite but I'm not a professional like I told you!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Most likely it is just a build up of scar tissue but better safe than sorry and since there is a family history go see your doctor and ease your mind once and for all!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
