Allergy attack?!

Question: Allergy attack!?
No medicine has ever worked for my allergies except for Allegra BEFORE they changed the formula!. I've also tried the shots, but I went into anaphylactic shock 3 times, because the doctors wanted to make sure that the shots caused it!. I'm now using Chlortrimeton when I have problems, but it knocks me out, and I'm basically useless and comatose until I wake up!.

I'm out of ideas of what to do!. (My allergies are to dust, dust mites, and cats, and I also have issues when it rains!.)

Today I was at work, and all of a sudden my eye started itching!. Then it burned, and the next thing I knew, it was swollen!. It's still a bit swollen!. It happened 5 hours ago!.

What would cause this!?

What medications will work!?

(Please DON'T recommend benydryl, because I am not allowed to take that as it makes me hyper!. I know it makes most people drowsy, but Nyquil and Dayquil work opposite for me too!.)

Desperate, I need relief!!!Www@Answer-Health@Com

I am really sorry for your situation!. I have not really found anything for my allergies either!. I have not tried local honey but I have heard it works!. Try and find a person who raises honeybees in your area, that is what local honey is!. The reason for this is because the bees are taking pollen from the plants that are driving you crazy!. When they make honey they are using that pollen, so taking the honey should help (so I have heard) I have a neighbor who raises bees, so I'm hoping he will sell me some honey and I can try it for myself!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

I use Claritin!.!. I take it every morning!. I think it works the best!. And Won't make you drowsy!. (or hyper) I have really bad allergies!. But if your eyes itch really bad, then ice them down!. My eyes have swelled up before and went to the doctor for it!. But i wear contacts and use eye drops!. I use Visine!. So I hope i answered your question!!!Www@Answer-Health@Com

Zyrtec-D is the way to go!. I am allergic to everything and this is the only thing that helped me!. I have indoor/outdoor allergies all year round!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

I recommend that you go to an allergy doctor that gives the drops for under the tongue!. People don't have a severe reaction to them!. As for your eye trouble, were you using a computer mouse!? It is possible that someone was petting a cat and touched the mouse without washing their hands first; and then you touched the mouse and rubbed your eye!. My son is allergic to cats and something like that will irritate his eyes!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Is it the Diphenhydramine in Benadryl that makes you hyper!?

If so, look at the antihistamines that don't have that as it's active ingredient!. I find that Brompheniramine (Dimetane) works well orally, as well I have these eye drops (prescription, but you may be able to obtain over the counter) Olopatadine Hydrochloride (Patanol) which help TREMENDOUSLY!. Cetirizine (Zyrtec) works well too, but it's more expensive and I think you still need a prescription to get it!.

ADD ON: I'm really sorry, I don't know what to say!.!.!.!.seems like what works for me will have the opposite reaction for you!.!.!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Claritin is one antihistamine that supposedly has minimal sedative effects!. If you haven't already, try a nasal steroid(flunisolide two puffs each nostril 2-3x daily!.)!. Also Singulair, or a Cromolyn Sodium inhaler both have different mechanisms of action than antihistamines and may have some effect!.
As a last resort you doctor may try a very short course of oral steroids!. These do have side effects and should be used in a very limited way!. Probably the most effective available treatment, other than avoiding the allergen, is the intranasal topical steroid!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

If you're working in a dust and cat environment its that and your swelling eyes is due to you rubbing it!. Seriously, Zrytec works for it, I have cats and can get itchy eyes and stuffy nose and blah blah zyrtec takes awhile to get into your system so take it daily and bendraryl how can you get hyper!? It puts me to sleep, so take two 25 mg of that a night also!. You're sweatin too much and not giving zyrtec enough time to work, claritin is that same way!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Have you tried LOCAL honey!? A teaspoon a day will CURE your allergies to dust, cats, pollen, mold, and anything else floating in the air around you!. Decongestants and antihistamines will dry out your body causing damage to your upper respiratory area as well as your eyes and kidneys!. The warning labels should show you that dryness is a factor as well as other dangers that you may or may not be aware of until its too late to repair the organ!. Like all herbal remedies, it will take a while to become effective but it will not harm your body-you will be healthier the longer you take LOCAL honey-it is a natural immune booster!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
