Answers:
No, you don't need to adopt or get a baby daddy!. Hep c is never transmitted through semen; people please don't give bullsh*t answers when you don't know what you're talking about!! Especially nurses or anti-nurses!.!.!. I sincerely hope you're not really in the medical field because you're advice is wrong and there is no research to support your answer!.
That being said, here's the facts: hepatitis C is transmitted through blood to blood contact!.

http://www!.beincharge!.com/bic/applicatio!.!.!.
The risk of sexual transmission in a heterosexual, stable, monogamous relationship is low; less than 5%!.
And perinatal transmission (mother to child) is less then 5%, too, if the mother is infected!. If the father is infected, but not the mother, then you cannot infect the baby!. http://hcvadvocate!.org/hepatitis/factshe!.!.!.
This website is great; full of factual information!. You need to educate yourself so you can manage this disease!. Best wishes!. Check out hcvadvocate!.org !. Click on the right on hcsp factsheets!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Hi!. I was just doing a good deal of research on the virus myself to find out my own risks!. On "Web MD" it says numerous times that you have "very low risks" of passing Hep C through sexual contact but none the less it is possible!. Also, if you have kids the only way you can pass the disease on to them is if you first pass it to your wife and she has it at the time of child birth!. However there are vaccines that can be given to your baby while still in the womb to prevent them from contracting the disease!. 5 in 100 babies born to mothers infected with the virus end up contracting it!.

Web MD has lots of info on the disease so I'd reccommend checking it out!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Ouch, I'm sorry!.

As you know Hep C is a chronic disease that seems to last forever!. You can pass it to your wife through sex, I'm sorry to say!. You should probably always wear a condom and see a fertility expert when your read to try to have children!. Maybe they can do invitro to decrease the likelihood of passing it to your wife!.

Fortunately Hep C is passed more in blood than seman, so there is a chance that you haven't giving it to her yet!.

See your doctor and talk about your concerns!.

I disagree with the woman above me whose husband has Hep C!. It can be transmited in the Semen, it's just not as likely as in Hep B!Www@Answer-Health@Com

You can only get Hep C through sex if it is rough sex and there is blood from each partner in the vagina and on the penis,!.!.or menstrual blood from an infected female that gets into an open wound on the males penis!. It is not spread through semen or other bodily fluids!. Hep B can be spread through sex and bodily fluids!. It is very rare for Hep C to be transmitted through sexual intercourse!. This was made very clear to us on a personal basis by my husbands doctors (3 of them) and also discussed at a Hepatitis educational class!. Most people get B and C confused!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

No study has conclusively shown HCV is transmitted sexually!. In fact, if you check the CDC web page it says no special precautions are needed for monogamous sexual contact!. Man to man sex can transmit alot of things, but monagamous heterosexual relationships do not need any protection!. HCV is spread by inhaling drugs (like cocaine=this is the most common way), IV drugs, needles, tatoos, etc!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Chances are good of passing it on!.!.!. In fact, they're great!. Wear a condom, tell your partner, get her (him) tested!.

Yes, you can have kids!.!.!. Just do so with someone who is also willing to take on the risk of contracting Hep C in the process!.

(There is less risk of passing it on in long-stable relationships!.!.!. Don't ask why!.!.!. It's probably God's idea for discouraging promiscuity!.)Www@Answer-Health@Com

defenetly talk with your partner and the doctor!. you need to do lots of reaserch!. i think that having kids is risky!. but you could adopt or get a baby daddy9 whitch would be a little strange but people do it all the time!.) but don't try to have kids before you tell your partner and talk to your doctor!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

5% sexual transmittion

YES you can have kids!.!.dude your the man!.!.your wife doesn't have hcv!.!.its her that has to worry IF she were infected but still mother to child is 5% transmittion!.

Rough sex!.!.man on man or anal sex!.!.!.as for your wife being that time of the month!.!.!.!.I was not diagnoised until I was 40
neither of my husbands contracted MY HCV and yes we had (ick) sex at 'that time of the month'

I'm also an 'accident waiting to happen' in the kitchen!. I cut myself cooking!.!.NONE of my THREE children contracted my HCV!.

People that answer questions need to know the CORRECT answers so as not to confuse others!.
