What could this be? (women only)?!

Question: What could this be!? (women only)!?
I have this red, rather hard bump on my bikini line, right where the end of your underwear would meet your skin!. It's quite painful!. I was at the dermatologist today and decided to ask him what he thinks it is!. He said it could be an infection, then when he I told him it kind of goes away when I wear boyshorts (when there is no seam from the underwear touching it)!. He said it is most likely my skin being sensitive!. He said to avoid wearing V shaped undearwear and wear boyshorts!. I don't have many of those and don't like them!. Any other suggestions!? Also I've NEVER had this before!?
I've recently (about 2-3weeks ago) put a hair removal cream on my bikini line (worked amazingly great and got rid of the hair) but do you think it may have caused the sensitivity!? and if so why only in that ONE spot!?
This bump appeared about a 4days ago!.
What could it be and how can I make it go away, its painful!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

I am fairly sure you have a very common ingrown hair!.!.!.if its really really annoying you, you could try pick it out with a pin (ouch)!.!.!.!.or just leave it alone and it will go away or grow out on its own after awhile!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

You need to do what the docter told you and it will get better!!!!Www@Answer-Health@Com
