What does a urine test actually test for?!

Question: What does a urine test actually test for!?
I"m just curious, I had some urinary issues about 2 weeks ago and my urine came back as having no signs of infections!. Does a urine test scan for things like HIV!? And, if you have HIV, does it show up in your urine!?Www@Answer-Health@Com

Answers:
A urine test tests for the kinds of substances found in your urine, and for bacteria found in your bladder!. There is no way that HIV show up in a urine test because HIV is not a bacteria but a virus, and anyway, it only comes out in a blood test called ELISA that tests specifically for the antibodys that your immune system creates when HIV enters your body!. Neither the virus nor the antibodys will come out in a urine test!. A clean urine test result only tells you that you have no urinary infections!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

For HIV the doctor can do either a blood test or a urine test, there are just specific ways of testing for it!. A blood test would probably be a better way to go though!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
