I've known plenty of people in their seventies who smoke!. I can't think of anyone I've ever known over the age of 70 who weighed 300+ lbs!.

Not that either one is good!. I watched my father die from his cigarette addiction, and it wasn't pleasant!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Whilst obesity as measured by BMI has not been shown definitively to lead to premature death, central obesity leads to around a 3 fold greater risk for heart disease!. Smoking however has been categorically associated with premature death, and is the leading cause for preventable deaths in the western world!. Given this, I'd say the smoker would die first!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

My money is on the 300 pound nonsmoker!. If smokers could see what smoking does to the heart and arteries, they would be so shocked!. Not to mention what it does to the lungs!. I learned the hard way!.!. My doctor told me that for him to put stents in my heart while I was still a smoker, was absolutely insane!.!.!.!.!.!.!.Smoking causes just as many problems , some more serious than being overweight!.
