Slowing the progression of cataracts?!
Question: Slowing the progression of cataracts!?
My brother was recently told that he had an "early" cataract in one eye!.
What, if anything, can be done to stop or slow the progression of this!? He's willing to have surgery; he just wants to know what his other options are!.

Before I had cataract surgery in both eyes I was told by my Dr to stop watching TV (if I did) and to stay out of direct sunlight!. I was told to wear UV protective sunglasses if I went out and it was bright!. Apparently UV rays cause cataracts to worsen more quickly!. Tell your brother that the surgery takes about and hour per eye and is relatively painless!. (although it is a pain in the *ss)Www@Answer-Health@Com
