In cancer research, people talk about "factors" because the same kind of cancer develops in different ways in people!. It is difficult to pinpoint exactly what triggers the cells to mutate!.

When a healthy cell mutates, it may keep dividing rapidly but although it divides very fast, it is not doing the function normal cells do!. Some cancer cells don't divide but instead become very big!. In both cases, these unhealthy cells take a lot of the nutrients to support their rapid growth!. The other healthier cells become weak because they get starved of nutrients!. The body tries to compensate by getting nutrients from body reserves (bone, fat, muscles)!. This is why one of the earliest signs of cancer is sudden, unexplained weight loss!.

If the growth is not stopped, it may spread (a malignant cancer) or it may not spread (benign)!. The cancer cells may get so big they start squeezing other organs and another symptom appears - pain!.

So basically, cancer happens when cells in the body starts "eating" the body!. I hope I didn't confuse you instead!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

In each person's body there are random "sick' cells - most of the time the bodies immune system kills these sick cells off but occasionally one will not be killed off and it will start to grow!. It divides in half then divides each of those cells again and again - how fast is determined by the kind of sickness in the cells( whatever kind of cancer)!. This causes the growth of thousands or even millions of sick cells - which make the person very ill!.

That is a very simplified version of how cancer starts!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

A simple way to explain cancer is an abnormal growth of cells!. Normally, cells are created to replace those that die and to allow for growth!. When cancer is present, cells reproduce at an unchecked rate!. A tumor is a cluster of these cells that is capable of of dividing uncontrollably!. Because these cells are not healthy and do not function properly, they cause problems in one's body!. A tumor can be malignant or benign; malignant means it's cancerous, while benign means safe or non-cancerous!. Benign tumors usually grow slowly and stay in one area, but malignant tumors spread rapidly and can destroy body tissue in the process!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Basically it works like this!. When the chemical composition of our body changes the cell growth also fluctuates and sometimes certain sells tend to grow faster than usual - this extra growth is often referred to as cancer! This could happen anywhere in the body depending on what incites such growth!Www@Answer-Health@Com

well there are hundreds of different types of cancers and each one is different!. my suggestion would be to google cancer!.
