My understanding is that "steroid diabetes" is usually a temporary condition due to the fact that steroids cause high blood sugar in almost everyone, whether they are diabetic or not!. The condition lasts several weeks to months after discontinuing the steroids, so that's likely what you're experiencing!. However, it can put you at a higher risk of developing diabetes if you are already predisposed to it!. Not sure you can take any legal action, as hyperglycemia is a common side effect of steroids!.

Many drugs, including steroids, some blood pressure meds, meds for arthritis, some cancer treating drugs, and others can be linked to diabetes!. They are not the cause of the diabetes, but can contribute to the disease!. And it is usually after a using the drugs for long regiments!. I really doublt if your steroid injections are the cause of your diabetes!. I don't think you will really have a case, because you don't have to be overweight to develop diabetes and it does not have to be in your family!. (51% of type 2 diabetics are not or ever have been overweight or had bad diets) According to Drs and specialists that have talked at our classes, drugs that are linked to diabetes on the average have been used by the person in question over a period of several years or more!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
