I went to the dr!. and he diagnosed me w/ a sinus infection!. He perscribed me Agmitin and told me to also use Musinex and Zyrtec!. I did all that!. After the antibiotic was gone, I continued w/ the Musinex and Zyrtec!. Most of the symptoms have subsided!. I've also developed new symptoms!. It's all in my chest!. I'm still coughing up that green junk pretty bad!. Feel like there are bricks on my chest!. I am coughing some, and have started taking Robbutussin!. My breathing has become shallow, and when taking deep breaths, I find myself having to cough pretty bad!. I'm just curious if I should be worried!. Any feedback is appriciated!. Answers:
Amber, Mucinex is Robitussin in tablet form, and you would have to take 2 tsps of Robitussin to get the same results!. Do not take them both together either!. If you are having a productive cough with green mucus you probably have an upper respiratory infection in your lungs and should go back to the doctor!. Left untreated, yes it can turn into pneumonia!. Ask him for Bactrim this time for the antibiotic if you are not allergic to sulfa drugs!. Mucinex DM also has added dextromethorphan which will help the loosening of the mucus and coughing!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
