I had a post in this category about 3 days ago about my mother who in April had been diagnosed with pancreatic cancer at 87 years young!. Never was sick and only had a twinge under her left ribcage!. Saw a doctor and was told she was in Stage 2!.
First I would like to thank everyone who replied back with kind words and encourgement!. Unfortunately my mother passed away yesterday!. The nurse told me the cancer had NOT spread!.
When my mother first found out about the cancer she started taking Essaic tea for about three weeks!. She never got worse but the twinge continued!. When she went for her first chemo treatment I took the bottle with me and the doctor said It would not do any harm!. Well, two days after her first chemo treatment she started to sleep all the time, had no energy and did not want to eat!. After the 2nd treatment she was worse!. The doctor stopped chemo, she was 98 pounds and too weak to even try the tea again!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

I do remember your post!. My sympathies to your family!. There are so many unanswered questions about herbal treatments, they are ridiculed to the point where people pass them off as quackery much too quickly!. Many herbals have been tested and either dismissed or accepted into the pharma wold!. Chemotherapy agents are largely made up of medicinal plants, a large number of pharmaceutical drugs are in fact derived from herbs, vitamins and minerals!. Its just that quite often, the use of plants alone take a long time to work unless applied directly into the said tumor or blood stream, and there are not many doctors that would take this action!. Many pharma drugs don't work on their own, so are compiled, perhaps if more studies were done on combination of herbs, vitamins and minerals we could perhaps understand them and their uses much better!.
Chemo did nothing for me except give me severe osteo!. After filling me with chemo agents, and with my stage iv lung cancer not responding to chemo, I was removed from all treatment and sent home to die!. What was I to do, sit and wait for the cancer to eat me alive!? No, I decided to fight and since the end of my chemo in dec!. 06 my cancer has still not spread and I am feeling much better than I have in years (minus the damage from the chemo to my bones)!. I have not used any pharma grade 'scripts except for the occasional sleeping pill to help cope with sleeping thru osteo pain!. I am not making this post out to be about me, I just want you to know that I have been thru both sides of the treatments!.
We can't second guess our decisions regarding chemo or alternatives!. There is so much we don't know about cancer so its impossible to know what is the right thing for one, and not the other!. Chemo often does wonderful things to get people into remission, for other people its a horrible treatment!. Some are even allergic to the agents and that in itself can be deadly!. Just know that you, your brothers and her doctor all did what you felt was best for your Dear Mom with the best of intentions!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

But Essiac tea is not effective against cancer; the doctor was probably right in saying it would do no harm, but it has never been shown or proven to do any good either!.
None of you have anything to reproach yourselves for; you did everything you could!.
