Question: What could happen if you have acid reflux and don't take medicine for it!?
Awhile back my doctor told me that I have Acid Reflux and got me medication for it to take every day!.
I did that for about a month, and eventually got sick of taking a stupid pill every day!.
What can happen if I continue not taking that stupid pill!? Any way I can get rid of it without spending an arm and a leg for the medication!?Www@Answer-Health@Com

You can get rid of it by changing ur lifestyle a bit!.!.!.!.!.avoid spicy oily foods, avoid colas an other carbonated drinks!. Eat atleast 5 hours before you sleep, maintain proper posture, dont slouch!. Mebbe a glass of milk before bed might help coz milk is like an antacid!.
If you dont take ur meds altogether, there may be complications like gastric ulcers and perforation of the stomach in severe cases!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

The acid builds up and begins to eat away at your throat/ stomach!. The results can be really serious!. If you want to try natural methods, do so!. But don't just let it go!.
Try sleeping with your head raised and seek advice from either your doctor or an herbalist!. You'll probably want to monitor your eating habits, especially before bed!.

my hubby takes Nexium for acid reflux !. !. !.he would have heartburn for hours each day no matter what he ate or drank !. !. just water would give him heart burn, by time he went to doc he had damage to his esophugus from the acid backing up in his chest, doc said this can cause cancer of the esophugus!. he had him raise head of our bed 6 inches, lay off dairy products and greasy foods, spicy foods do not hurt u in fact jalepeno peppers and ceyanne pepper is helpful for alot of other medical conditions!. he decided after a year not to take nexium but about 2x a week, his problems returned worse than ever now he gladly takes 1x daily!. do what doc tells u or u r headed for some really bad health problems down the roadWww@Answer-Health@Com
if you stop taking it, you will develop a stomach ulcer in time, which is caused by your body producing too much acid, which erodes at the stomach wall, so id advise to take those pills or youll be talking more pills for a stomach ulcer, trust me its not a nice thing to have!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
Your reflux will eventually come back!. You can take a teaspoon of apple cidar vinegar and mix it with apple juice to help control it!. It's important thet you do something because if the acid keeps coming up over years it could cause cancer!. sorry!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
