Genital herpes Type 2 attaches to the southern region - usually ON the genitals!. I've also heard of it being on the BACK or thighs!. It's contracted by sex (oral, anal or regular sex)!. SOME cases of contracting it from sharing wet towels and washcloths with someone with an open outbreak!.
FYI - condoms only cover the penis shaft and the inner walls of the vagina - so if the herpes sore is anywhere else (which it usually is!!) like on a scrotum, thighs or pu$$y lips - you can still catch it!
The genital type tingles, itches, then looks like a cluster of small white blisters - until they break - then it looks like open ulcers that scab up & go away!.
People with herpes are contagious from the very 1st tingle or ITCH until the scabs fall off & they have new skin again!.
Most people contract herpes in the "tingling & itching" stage because sometimes it's hard to spot until you actually see sores!
