Cough lasting for almost 2 months?!

Question: Cough lasting for almost 2 months!?
first of all, let me say that going to the doctor is not an option for me!.

now, i have had a cough for almost 2 months now!. I am a relatively healthy non-smoking 18 y/o female!. at the beginning i had what i thought was a common cold with a runny nose, but after a couple weeks my nose cleared up and the coughed stayed!. i now go through about 5 or 6 violent coughing episodes a day, where i will cough up clear phlegm!.

so the question is, does anybody know what could be wrong with me!? listing your source would be great too!.
thank you!Www@Answer-Health@Com

Mycoplasma pneumonia!. Symptoms generally begin 15-25 days after exposure!. The symptoms generally develop slowly, over a period of two to four days, beginning with upper respiratory symptoms, low grade fever, malaise, and coughing!.

Ear pain and nasal congestion may occur!. If the infection is not treated within 7-10 days of onset, a prolonged cough may occur which can last for weeks even after treatment!.

Antibiotics such as erythromycin or tetracycline are effective treatments!. However, because mycoplasma infection usually resolves on its own, antibiotic treatment of mild symptoms is not essential!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
