I share needles...?!
Question: I share needles!.!.!.!?
my sewing club meets every Tuesday night and last Tuesday I forgot to bring my needles, so I had to share with one of my friends!. am I at risk of AIDS!? I heard somewhere that sharing needles can give you AIDS!. what are the chances that I already have HIV!? I'm a 34 year old woman, and I'm looking for answers, please help!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

From what I have heard you can not get AIDS from sharing sewing needles so long as you clean them properly!. I am told cleaning needles with bleach and water do the trick!.
My aunt was in a sewing club and would clean her needle after every meeting because you just don't know what is out there!.
Your best bet is going to the Public Health dept!. in your county and get a test done if you are really scared!. Remember, most people who have AIDS or HIV are sick alot and have all the symptoms!. I think you may be over reacting but you should get yourself checked if you are scared!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

they dont mean it literaly, sharing a needle will not give you HIV!. they are talking about drug users (mostly heroin) who share needles!. HIV is caused by transfer of affected blood from one person to another!.
did you poke yourself with the needle!? if yes, get tested for HIV at your local health facility!. And then go back in 6 month and get tested again, because sometimes it takes time for the virus to show up!.
FYI you dont get AIDS first you get HIV then with time you aquire AIDS!.
