Bea, try not to snack 2 hours before bed!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

I don't know about a midnight snack just before going to bed, but in my diabetic education class I was told to eat breakfast, lunch, dinner, and a nighttime snack a couple of hours before going to bed!. I am allowed two carbs so I eat 15 grams of cheese and crackers and 15 grams of mini candy bars 2 hours before going to bed!. If I eat any sooner before going to bed my sugars are higher the next morning so that's why I eat 2 hours before bed and my sugars are in range the next morning!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

That would depend on your blood sugar!. If your blood sugar is high I would skip the snack and just go to bed!. If it is low you can have some fruit or a peanut butter sandwich or raisins!. All of those will help bring your blood sugar back up in a healthy way!. If your blood sugar is normal, try some cereal without sugar and lowfat milk!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

one bread exchange if blood sugar is normal = 15 grams carbohydrate one piece of bread one ounce of lean meat mustard preferably no extra carbs!.!.that is what is ordered for me when i am in the hospital that is what I eat when I'm at home!.!. you may vary how you receive your one bread exchange!.!.!.!.!.!.!.!.!.!.!.!.!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
