If someone is allergic to bees, does that make them allergic to honey as well?!

Question: If someone is allergic to bees, does that make them allergic to honey as well!?
Answers:
Nope!. Allergy is a defect in the immune system where the body misidentifies common, benign proteins as evil enemy invaders!. The proteins contained in the venom and the honey of bees are quite different!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

The sting is a venom and comes out of the tail end!.
The honey is partially digested pollen and is vomited from it's mouth!.
They aren't related to each other in any way!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Not necessarily!. I'm allergic to bees but can have honey with no trouble!. That's because it's the venom in the bee's stinger that one is usually allergic to!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Nope!.
My dad and I are both allergic to bee stings, and we both like to eat honey and it gives us no problems!. I would try to explain how that works, but other answerers have that covered very well!. =)Www@Answer-Health@Com

Generally a bee allergy relates to being stung, so honey should be fine!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
