Answers:
This is a very common problem that effects a good majority of us!. You are likely receiving Decadron along with an IV anti-nausea med before your ABVD!. Decadron is a Steroid and it can cause increased appetite!. While receiving ABVD with Decadron I gained back nearly all of the weight I lost before being diagnosed!. I know some people who gained as much as 50 pounds!. Try not to worry as it does usually subside after treatment ends!. The way I looked at it was I would rather gain a little weight than to loose a bunch and have the gaunt stereotypical cancer patient look, losing all of our hair is bad enough!. ;-)

Good luck with treatment!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Hi, Don't worry too much about that! Just concentrate on getting through your treatment, as once it is over you will slowly get back to being the way you were!. If you are hungry eat, if you are not don't!. Your body will tell you what it feels like!.

And just for your information, I think you will find that it is not the chemo that is increasing your appetite, but the steroids that you would also be on, to do just that!Www@Answer-Health@Com

this a good thing,if you start to lose weight rapidly it shows cancer is strong, all the fluids and steroids they give put weight on as well i put on 4stone my advice don't worry its only a bit of weightWww@Answer-Health@Com

I only ate a few crackers, ill most of the time!. One can of ginger ale lasted a couple of days!. I still gained a lot of weight!. When it was over I lost the weight!. Everyone is different!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

everyone is differnet and will experince differnt smptoms!. and in some cancers some people do not get any symptoms until the very and I mean very last stages!. so everyone is different!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
