I don't think you will get any help unless you speak to the hospital team!. They won't let you go back home on your own until you are ready!. Just make sure you take all your stuff with you, not too much just some toiletries and something to wear when you are discharge!. Good luck!. I wish I could look after you!. Just looked on youtube orbital decompression, it looks very nasty surgery!. Good luck
PS Don't forget to take your sunglasses and a scarf!. Its very cold in OctoberWww@Answer-Health@Com

Hi I you sure noone can come with you, there might be someone in your family availiable now, as september is quite a way off!.

I think there might be some sort of home help, but im not sure how to go about getting it, I would ask your doctor and see what he/she recommend you doing as they cannot really expect you to be able to do things for yourself if its major surgery, just tell them there is noone to help you so how do you go about looking after yourself!.

I feel really bad that you have noone to go with you, I would come with you but I like about 6 hours or more away from london and am pregnant and due in september!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Unfortunately because of your age there is nothing that the hospital can organise for you, as the services are all focused on the elerly!. At your age the hospital tend to assume there will be family or friends to help!. Hiring some one privately may be your only option!. But i would check with your surgeon the exact post-surgical healing process, as i wouldnt imagine that if you were so disabled as not to see, or independantly carry out personal care, they would not be discharging you from the hospital!.
Hope this helps!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Yes, there is something called a convalescent home!. However, it is not covered by the NHS and is quite expensive!. I'd start looking to book now because there are not that many homes and they get fully booked a long time in advance!. For three weeks' care, I'd expect to pay between
