How long after quitting smoking am I supposed to start coughing up a bunch of ga!

Question: How long after quitting smoking am I supposed to start coughing up a bunch of garbage!?
I quit smoking almost 2 weeks ago with no major problems or cravings- I'm using the patch which helps but I did go a couple of days without and didn't have any major issues!.

I've heard from other people that you're supposed to start coughing up all the crap thats in your lungs shortly after smoking your last cigarette!.!.!.hasn't happened to me yet!. Has anybody quit without going through this or is it still yet to come for me!? I do still feel a little "tickling" in my chest, but I also feel like I can breathe deeper without tightness!.

FYI I smoked about a half a pack a day (give or take) for about ten years!. My cancer stick of choice was Marlboro ultra light menthols if that makes any difference!.

I also started a running program three months ago and am now running between 9-12 miles a week!. Two days after I quit I noticed an appreciable benefit in how long I could run without feeling out of breath!.

I really hope I don't start hacking stuff up!.!.!.thats gross!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
