Can you get HIV from someone kissing your neck that had sores on it?!

Question: Can you get HIV from someone kissing your neck that had sores on it!?
Recently a gay man came up behind me at a bar and began kissing my neck!. I recently had age spots removed with liqued nitrogen and their were scabs and sores on my neck which he kissed all over!. I considered this sexual assault as he was drunk and I am straight!. The man is a bartender at my friend's restaurant and I had no idea that he was an aggressive gay man!. Should I be worried about this!? I don't even know if he has HIV but I just want to know the chances assuming he does!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Answers:
The chances are minuscule!. First off, most gay men don't actually have HIV!. The fact that he was aggressively sexual probably adds to the chance that he is one of those few, but the odds are still against it!. Then you're talking about the chance of getting it from saliva on small scabbed over sores!. Consider the chances of getting it from unprotected intercourse: "approximately 0!.3% per sexual contact with an HIV-infected person!." That's for unprotected sex! 3 out of every 1000 times!.

While it is technically possible to contract HIV through saliva, it is pretty much unheard of!. If I were you I would not worry!. It'd be pretty much impossible for you to have caught HIV from this episode!. If you just can't stop worrying, then resolve to get tested next time you go to the doctor!. (Remember that it can sometimes not show up for 6 months, so get tested 6 months from now to put your mind at ease!.)

Here's where I got that statistic, with more information if you feel like reading more about HIV and how it works!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
