Question: I found out I have an underactive thyroid!. Anybody else!? Tips, info, etc!?
Answers:
i had it once upon a time!. It is clinically known as hypothyroidism!.
The common symptoms are lethargy, weight gain, pallor, over-sleeping, constipation, cold intolerance & in children it can lead to growth retardation!.

The treatment for it is thyroxine daily!.

Another point of consideration is the CAUSE of hypothyroidism which needs to be treated!. It cud be due to crash dieting leading to a great amount of weight loss which causes disturbances in the hypothalamus hence leading to hypothyroidism!. There are other causes as well!. Check em on google!.

If you have been diagnosed then your doctor should be able to give you information about the disease and basically the treatment is a pill for hypothyroidism!. There are several medications for it, and if you have had a blood panel he should be able to start you on something and keep it under control, Alot of people suffer from either under active or over active thyroids its a very common thing, and its easily treatable, if you follow up with your doctor regularly and you educate yourself about the disease for symptoms to watch for!. A really good site to study up on diseases is www!.webmd!.com, also your doctor should have info on it for you!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
