Question: Does this sound like cancer!.!. I am nervous!?
Ok I am 26 yers old female!. My Dr!. found a lump on my thyroid!. I went in for ultrasound after waiting 6 mo!. A 1cm noudle was found and I was sent for thyroid scan!. The scan read nomal and all my thyroid funtions are normal,as well as my bloodwork!.
Anyway the Dr!. says that the lump is NOT on my thyroid and that it may be a enlarged lymphnode!. This node has been there for atleast 6mo!. I am always tired and just not feeling well!. Cancer run wild in my family!. What could be going on!. I have hot flashes when I am sleeping but I don't sweat all the times just every now and than!. So now I am going to have a CT scan!. I just found a new enlaged lymphnode in my neck area yesterday!.
What could be wrong!. This lump in my neck feels very large to the touch!. Sometines I get tired from just getting dressed!. What's wrong with me!? My mom has lymphoma, my uncle died from it and many others have had cancer!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

I suggest you stay calm and wait for the test results!. There are lots of things that this could be that aren't cancer!. Even if it is cancer many cancers are treatable!. Try not to jump to conclusions and worry!. Stress will only make it worse!. I know its hard to do but focus on something else for now and when the tests come back it is likely it is good news!.
BTW- the night sweats with lymphoma are more than just hot flashes!. Unless you have to get up and change your PJs and the sheets what you describe is not a symptom of lymphoma, just getting hot at night!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

You need to calm down and relax!. The lump in your neck could be nothing!. I have a lump on my neck, my doctor felt it and said nothing, I'd been worried about it for years before that!. A girl I know said that she has them too!. Her mom, who's a nurse, said something about it being muscles enlarging because of stress!. My cousins also have these!. A lot of people have them in the neck area!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

well, cancer is a over growth of irregular cells, and the bumps you are talking about sound like cancer!.!.BUT the doctor would pick it up right away, he would have to run test b/c cancer is so common, the reason u are experiencing hot flashes is b/c ur worrying too much, cancer has been around for years, the doctors would rush u to the emergency room right away if it was!.!.and the bump would not be on ur neck!.!.it would be a irregular sized mole, that is misshaped, and a regular lump would appear on your breast if it was just a lump!. just dont worry so much b/c a doctor would have picked it up right away, hope this helps =]Www@Answer-Health@Com
Well sweetie, always get a second opinion and it's probably nothing! Don't get over it , find out and keep digging !.! I had pain in my uterus for months until they finally discovered I had the cancer cells starting and if I would have waited too long I wouldn't have been here 20 yrs ago to see my daughters grow up to be beautiful girls! Cancer in women has become a very hot topic for me because no woman should die needlessly! And the person who told you you to get over it doesn't deserve to be on this planet!
