Answers:
Aveno has a bath and even a cream that you can use to help with the itching!.

I wouldn't use actual oatmeal to bathe in!. Flavored kind on top of not practical would cause irritation because of the scent used for taste!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Yes, but it's better to use colloidal oatmeal for chicken pox, because if it has sugar and cinnamon or fruit bits it will probably cause more irritation so that's not a good thing!. Normally I advise to use regular oatmeal, however you don't place this directly on your skin, you bathe in it!. Dissolve the colloidal oatmeal, about 2-4 cups in running bath water and make sure the lukewarm water is milky!. Get in and soak for about 15 minutes and blot yourself with a towel when you finish!. Make sure all of the oatmeal is off of your body when you dry off (or else you'll itch a lot) and you can even apply calamine lotion sparingly to reduce pain/itching!. Now, silly question, but are you sure it's chicken pox!?!? I guess so huh!.!.!.normally we get it when we're younger and if that's the case, you could have shingles if it's in an isolated part of your body!. But if you've already gone to the doctor to confirm this, use the above regimine for a few days and it should alleviate
the pain and itching!. Good luck and I hope you feel better soon!!Www@Answer-Health@Com

It's an oatmeal soak - not real oatmeal from the box!.
Have someone pick it up for you at the drug store (Aveeno makes a box of it)

Or if you feel adventure in the kitchen go for it!.

You'll need a blender, food processor or coffee grinder and 1 cup of oatmeal!. You can use instant oatmeal (unflavored), quick oats or slow cooking oats- all work equally as well!.

Blend or process the oats on the highest setting until you have a very fine, consistent powder!. To test the colloid property of the oats, stir 1 tablespoon oats into a glass of warm water!. If the oats readily absorb the water and give it a milky look and a silky feel, you've blended long enough!.

Giving the bath:

Sprinkle the oats into a tub of running water and stir the water with your hand several times to ensure even distribution!.
Feel along the bottom of the tub for clumps and break up any you find!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

its better than nothing!. I used benedryl spray when i had chicken pox helped a lot!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
