Answers:
Salmonella enterica is a bacteria that lives naturally on animals like birds and reptiles!. It spreads through fecal-oral contact, meaning you ingest poop particles with the bacteria in them and you get sick!.

The bacteria got onto the tomatoes!. Probably from some microscopic bits of animal poop that didn't get washed off properly!. We are trying to figure out how it got there, but we're not sure yet!.

Because people often eat tomatoes that are raw, that's why they're getting sick from the bad tomatoes!. Even if a tomato is covered in Salmonella, if you cook it till it's piping hot (like in spaghetti sauce), that would kill all the germs on it!. Still, no one wants a dirty dinner!. If you want to keep cooking your tomatoes, make sure you wash them first!. But for now, avoid eating them raw because some folks just do a shoddy job of washing them!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
