Scaly elbows?!

Question: Scaly elbows!?
My Elbows are REALLY rough and scaly, and the skin is peeling off!. It stings!. Is this something to be worried about!? Also, no more than 30 minutes after I take a shower, my elbows are brown and black with "dirt", even though I sit at my desk!.
My right elbow is worse than my left!.
I have not been leaning on rough surfaces or anything, I do not take any medicine for anything!. MY elbows are usually rough, but not this rough and they usually don't hurt!.
What is this and how do I get rid of it!?Www@Answer-Health@Com

Answers:
You need to increase your intake of foods rich in protein such as lean meats & fishes !.!.!.!.!.!.!.!. cold water fishes such as salmon, tuna and sardines are also rich in essential fatty acids which are vital in maitaining healthy hair, nails & skin and will do wonders for your stress levels or any mood swings you may have!.!.!.!.!.!.!.!.!.!.!. the EFA's are also good for bolstering your immunity and lowering blood pressure levels!.

Also, eat plenty of antioxidant rich foods ie ~ foods rich in Vitamins A, C, E and selenium and zinc!.

ie ~ Vitamin A ~ liver, dark green and yellow vegies, carotts, pumpkin and yellow fruits;

Without enough Vitamin A in your system no amount of potions or lotion will ever give you that rosy glow!.!.!.!.!. sweet potatoes are brilliant for giving you healthy, vital skin or a rosy glow!.!.!.!.!.!.!. it's definitely time to top up on your vitamin A rich foods if your skin is dry or rough, or it breaks out in spots!. Vitamin A helps ensure that skin is taut, silky soft and youthfull looking by nurturing the fat lying beneath the skin!. Vitamin A also makes sure that the skin cells rising to the surface remain supple so your skin feels soft and smooth!.

Vitamin C ~ citrus fruits such as lemons, limes and oranges, strawberries and blackberries, leafy and green vegies, red and green peppers and tomatoes and potatoes!.

Vitamin C extends life by enabling protein cells to bind together and seriously makes your skin look fine !.!.!.!.!.!.!.!.!. vitamin C is also brilliant as a natural laxative and at lowering blood pressure?

Vitamin E ~ wheat germ, vegetable oils (olive oil), nuts, leafy and green vegies, spinach broccoli, whole wheat, whole grain cereals and eggs!.

vitamin E will keep you looking younger by retarding cellular aging due to oxidation (by plumping out those lines and extending the life of your cells)!.

Selenium ~ seafood, liver, wheat germ, bran, tuna fish, onions, tomatoes, broccoli, garlic and brown rice!.

Selenium works in tandem with vitamin E thus they increase each others potency!. selenium is another antioxidant that will slow the aging process for you & maintain supple skin!.

Zinc ~ essential for protein synthesis and collagen formation!.

foods rich in zinc are ~ meat, liver, seafood (especially oysters), wheat germ, pumpkin seeds, eggs and ground mustard!.

Pump up your fresh filtered water intake on a daily basis too to hydrate your body properly and plump up your skin and maintain your health, youth and vitality!.!.!.!.!.!. you need at least 2 - 3 litres of water per day!. Geez, we need at 2 litres daily just to maintain aspiration (to breath!!)!.!.!.!. try to cut right back on sodas and soft drinks, coffee, tea and alcohol ( if you drink any of these) as they will all do a fine job of dehydrating you and robbing you of your essential B complex of vitamins!. Also try to ditch the prepackaged junky foods and sugary treats as these foodswill only rob you of your skin's suppleness, beauty and vitality by draining your body's limited resources !.!.!.!.!.!.!.!.!. they really have no nutritional value anyways ?

Take a multi B complex supplement also to support a healthy neural, digestive and immune system and to help you deal with the stress of everyday living and keep you fit and healthy!.!.!.!.!.!.!.!.!.!.!. :0)

Soothe the roughness and soreness of it now with a vitamin E or A based creme but you really do need to bother just a little more about the food you eat mate cos when it comes down to it !.!.!.!.!.!.!.!.!.!.!. you are what you digest !.!.!.!.!.!.!.!.!. peace 2 u

good health to you

I had the same problem so I bought Eucerin lotion and put it on my elbows every night until the peeling stopped!. Occassionally, I still put the Eucerin on my elbows just to make sure it doesn't start up again!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

See a dermatologist if it gets worse!. It could be psoriasis!. It's a common skin problem that is not contagious or fatal!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

The medical term for myself is long forgotten but I know how to get rid of it!!!
Does your mother or father have this condition!?!?!?
Usually one of the parents will have this condition; if neither it may be recessive!
All you can do is moisturize religiously right after you get out of the shower or bath!.!.!.and moisturize regularly, I mean several times a day! sounds like lots of work!.!.!.but once you get your elbows soft enough so that they don't hurt, and that there not chapped, your elbows may start shedding skin all by themselves!. IE: over moisturized skin that is not exfoliated just sheds off in rolls of dirt and un-shed skin!. Which is good!! or it may even be that you have to exfoliate them naturally with a soft sea sponge; and be very gentle!. It is important to remember our elbows as we scrub our body's!. They are often forgotten!.
I would not go as far as a pumice stone!. That could in fact create a thicker callus on your elbows!. We have this protective barrier on our elbows for a reason!. To diminish it all will just cause more pain to yourself!. In remembering this I would not over exfoliate the elbow!. One to two times a week is sufficient!.
I am in the esthetic business and I would strongly recommend a German product called GEHWOL med!. Slave for cracked skin!. Great for elbows, hands and feet!!!Www@Answer-Health@Com
