Answers:
The most common metal allergy is nickel!. (In fact that's what I'm allergic to)
Very few people I have ever heard of are actually allergic to gold or platinum, as many surgical devices and implants contain these metals!. Gold allergy usually manifests in people who are constantly exposed to it, like jewelers or people who have a lot of gold crowns!.
Stainless steel is also hypoallergenic and resembles platinum!.
Stay away from silver or gold products less than 18K and you should be fine!. You can replace the nickel in 'white gold' with Palladium to avoid allergies!.
You can try for bands made out of lapis, jade, ivory, coral or other 'organic gemstones'!. However, they are more brittle than metals, and can break with hard usage!. You will also pay more for a good quality jade ring, than a gold one and may have a harder time finding a band which is not ornamented with metal!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
