I think 20 mg of valium will put you to sleep, that is too much if you are wanting to just calm down!. Also, I am on valium for muscle spasms (i have other physical problems) and it didn't help with my anxiety when it came to me getting pissed off!. After several different anti-depressants were tried and failed, my doctor finally gave me Zoloft!. It really helps me!. I may still get upset about something, but I'm not loosing my temper or freaking out for no reason, and when I do get nervous or upset now, it's for a good reason, not for nothing at all!. Valium is a quick fix, 10 mg is the most you want to ingest, unless doc says different, more than that and you're getting into drug abuse instead of drug use, and it will either knock you out, or make you do things that you normally wouldn't do: act violent, ignorant, steal, just stupid things!. Good Luck!. Go to doc though so script will be for you, and your brother will have enough meds for himself!. If it makes you feel better, there's millions of people like us, it makes ME feel good that you at least have the balls to ask someone about it, rather than suffering alone in your head- that will only increase anxious feelings and can make you lose your mind!. Bless you!. Doc is the only permanent fix!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

No, there are legal and medical ramifications for doing that!. Was your anxiety diagnosed by a physician!? Valium may not be the right drug for you!. It has MANY side effects and since you're young, it can hinder an active lifestyle!.

Also too, when it comes to anxiety, there are drugs for it but therapy is the cornerstone of treatment and is what really renders success!. Speak with your doctor or see a psychologist or psychiatrist (psychiatrist is not able to write a prescription)!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

You do not need to take anyone's prescription that doesn't belong to you!. See your Doctor and he can prescribe something for you!. You need to have a complete check up before you start taking any medicine!. There could be other reasons you have anxiety!. The Doctor will probably want to do some blood tests such as a TSH, comprehensive and a T4 thyroid panel to see if there are any underlying causes for your anxiety!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

It seems as if you need something other than valium!. That is just a quick fix!. You need a medication that will address your anxiety long term!. Find a good doctorWww@Answer-Health@Com
