Answers:
Not if you have good control of your diabetes!.

If there is a lot of sugar in your blood (as in uncontrolled diabetes) some comes out in your pee!. You kidneys only have so many transporters to reabsorb the sugar!. Once they run out of transporters to transport the sugar back out of your pee and into you blood then the extra is left in your pee!. Normally functioning kidneys put out sugar too!. In fact if you kidneys are not working you will wee out protein!.

So if you have high blood sugars you will wee out sugar!. If your diabetes is controlled (low blood sugars) you wont have sugar in your urine!.

And funny you say that about taste!.!.!. that how diabetes mellitus got its name!. Means sweet urine!. Diabetes insipidus means salty urine!.!.!.!.!. eeewwwWww@Answer-Health@Com

Not necessarily!. Usually the urine test will tell you if you have ketones and if so, it will smell a little like acetone or nail polish remover without perfume added!.
If you are asking if you have diabetes, only your Dr!. will be able to test you to be sure!. There are so many misconceptions about diabetes and guessing is not an option on if you have it or you don't!. Testing is relatively simple and requires a fast before visiting the Doctors office and there they will run some simple blood test as well as urine test to decide if you have diabetes or are pre-diabetic!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
