Brain Tumor being monitored - Help, we're moving?!

Question: Brain Tumor being monitored - Help, we're moving!?
Is there a written or unwritten policy that would discourage a new Radio Oncologist, and/or Brain Surgeon from taking on a recently operated on patient from another hospital!.

I am besides myself!.!.!.we are moving from NY to south Florida!. We'll be unable to return to NYC for follow-up MRIs and God forbid I needed another operation, I wouldn't know where to go!. This is because I've called several hospitals and NeuroSurgeons and find they are not likely to take me on since I was operated on at another Hospital less than 6 months ago!.

What happens to someone like me!? How will I get another well respected doctor to take my case on!. The hospital I am presently being treated at does not give recommendations to Florida Hospitals!. They'd rather I return via plane to have them do it!.

I am in a panic and need advice!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Answers:
go to healthgrades!.com then click on this one first : Local DoctorDirectory then on BySpecialty then on Neurosurgery and last on Florida (FL) I hope this helps!. you will find a list of all neurosurgeons available!. also asking for a copy of your medical files at your current hospital will help when you meet the doctors in fl!. may you be well soon!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

For starters I would recommend that you obtain all possible records to include MRI, CT, Xray and lab reports also include your surgical reports before leaving the area!. Having these items will help when you do find another physician!. Maybe ask your current physician to recommend or refer you to someone at your new location!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

If you can't find another surgeon/oncologist, then you'll have to fly to NYC!. It probably isn't a good idea to move in the first place, not saying you could help it or anything!. Hopefully everything goes good for you!. <3Www@Answer-Health@Com
