Answers:
Use St Ives apricot scrub every other day to exfoliate and then moisturize with something that contains salycilic acid!. Steer away from Benzoyle peroxide, as it can bleach your clothes and make you sensitive to UV rays!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Having experience with acne, I would recommend using a benzoyl peroxide wash every evening before you go to bed!.

A zit forms when skin cells around your pores prematurely slough off, clogging the pore and causing sebum (skin oil) to accumulate inside the pore!. This creates an ideal environment for bacteria!. Benzoyl peroxide treats one aspect of acne, and that's the infection!. There are other medications out there, such as tretinoin (Retin-A) and topical antibiotics, that target the other aspects of acne, but these are normally reserved for people who experience mild but frequent break outs!.

Benzoyl peroxide is the most powerful over-the-counter acne product out there and comes in multiples strengths: 2!.5%, 5%, and 10%!. A common misconception is that the higher strength formulas are always more irritating!. While this is true in some instances, it is not true in all!. Experiment!. Use the wash which feels best on your face!. Some redness is typical!. This can be counteracted with an oil-free moisturizer!. However, if your face becomes overly irritated, try using every other night!. If irritation continues, stop using and switch to another formula!.

I recommend the 10% Clean & Clear benzoyl peroxide wash!. Unlike the other over-the-counter benzoyl peroxide formulas (i!.e!. Proactiv, AcneFree), the Clean & Clear formula does not contain irritating microbeads!.

One last note: benzoyl peroxide is known to make the skin more sensitive to the sun!. Before going outside, be sure to apply an oil-free sunscreen to the areas where benzoyl peroxide is applied!. Neutrogena makes an oil-free moisturizer with SPF 45!. I would recommend this, since you'll be counteracting dryness and safegaurding your skin from sunburn!.

I hope this helps!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

just make sure you wash your face daily and use products containing benzoyl peroxide or salicylic acid!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
