Hypertrophic cardiomyopathy (HCM)!.!.!. If you've ever watched One Tree Hill, you've probably heard them talking about it!.!.!.It's when the cells in your heart abnormally thicken!.!.!.It can mess with the electrical signals that your heart uses to make its beats, or sometimes make it difficult for the cells to get oxygen!. That's why, if you have it, you can feel symptoms like funny heart beats (called dysrhythmias), chest pain that can start when doing activities, but goes away when you relax (called angina-your heart isn't getting oxygen and the cells are starting to die), or even passing out (it's called syncope)!. It also can decrease the amount of blood your heart is able to pump, denying the rest of your body of oxygen or even causing a back up of fluids, so you'll start to see swelling in your feet and lower appendages, and sometimes even excess fluid in your lungs!.!.!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
