Some medical terms regarding breast cancer. Confused!?!

Question: Some medical terms regarding breast cancer!. Confused!!?
There are 3 terms that I have come across and was told that these are related to breast cancer:

node involvement
node-caps
breast quad

I think that the first two is related to the lymph node but I may be wrong!. Could someone kindly explain them to me!? Thanks!Www@Answer-Health@Com

Answers:
yes, they are related with breast cancer!.

Node involvement: - means breast cancer has metastasized in the lymph nodes (usually they are axillary lymph nodes or mammary lymph nodes)

Node-cap: - means lymph node capsule!. When cancer cells infiltrate through the lymph node capsule, it is called extra capsular involvement!. This is one of the prognostic factor of breast cancer!.

Breast quad: - breast is divided into four quadrants such as upper outer (upper lateral), lower outer (lower lateral), upper inner (upper medial) and lower inner (lower medial)quadrants!. Most common location of breast cancer is upper outer quadrant!. But it can be present any other quadrant!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Node involvement indicates that the cancer has spread to lymph nodes!. Local/regional nodes are the axillary nodes and mammary nodes!.

Breast quad is breast quadrant!. Picture a breast: draw a line straight up and down through the nipple, and straight left to right through the nipple!. You now have 4 quadrants: upper outer, upper inner, lower inner, and lower outer!. These are used to describe the location of a tumor!.

Mine was upper outer, a very common location for invasive ductal carcinoma!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Nod involvement means it is something that is part of the node, node caps sounds like it is at the tops of the nodes and as for the breast quad I know when they take pictures or want to describe the breast quadrant that needs to be looked at!. Hope this helps, God bless you with full health!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
