Question: Risk involved in repairing an artery that's attached to a vein!?
My mother has severe shortness of breath and doctors have been treating her for congestive heart failure but upon moving her to another healthcare area they have found an artery in her leg has attached itself to a vein and is putting a tremendous amount of pressure on her lungs!.Surgery is sceduled tomorrow to put a stint in to try to repair such a connection!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

The attachment you are describing, if I am understanding you correctly, is called a "fistula" and can certainly put a strain on the circulatory system (heart)!. I am uncertain as to how this condition developed in your mother, but I will say that any surgery in someone with heart failure is risky!.
