I physically cannot wake up in the morning.?!

Question: I physically cannot wake up in the morning!.!?
Even if I go to bed around 9 or 8:30, which almost never happens because I'm usaully getting off of job #2 at that time, I will still end up sleeping through my alarm for a minimum of 45 minutes!. It's an extremely loud alarm and I've tryed just about every possible placement in my room and it doesn't work!. I discussed it with my sinus doctor, as I do have moderate - severe sinus problems!. He suggested having my tonsils and andenoids removed to help with air flow, thinking that the interupted sleep is triggering some of the sinus problems!. Problem is I no longer have medical insurance and cannot do that for at least another 6-8 months!. Its affecting my entire life, most importantly my job!. I am required to be to work at 8 am!. I usaully get in at 8:30 or 8:45 which irritates my co-workers (& me) who don't understand!. Now I'm starting a new job in 3 days & I won't be able to get away with that anymore & I am very worried that I will be late!. I've been like this for 23 years - help!Www@Answer-Health@Com

Answers:
Try putting a bright light on a timer - so it goes off about 5 minutes before the alarm, and just before bedtime, take an expectorant such as Mucinex along with Claritin-D (decongestant and non-drowsy antihistamine) to reduce sinus blockage!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Hi, it could be a medical problem such as sleep apnoea (like your doctor said) or it could be due to not getting enough sleep!. You could try getting a dawn simulator - they can be pricey though!. These are very bright lights that gradually light up in the morning over 30 minutes, waking you up gently and naturally rather than suddenly like an alarm!. You might also want to get checked out for vitamin or mineral deficiencies as these could cause you to need extra sleep!. If you're not getting enough sleep or are working too much then that will inevitably cause you to have difficulty waking up!. Maybe comsider seeing your doctor just to get checked out or invest in a dawn simulator light!.
Good luck!Www@Answer-Health@Com
