Answers:
The skip then jump that you describe is most likely a PVC, premature ventricular contraction!. This is a beat which occurs early and emanates from one of the lower chambers of the heart (ventricles) rather than from the normal location (Sinus node, located in the right atrium)!. Since this beat has occurred early, the heart has not had adequate time to fill to its normal degree!. Therefore it gives the sensation of missing a beat!. There is then a longer time interval to the next beat, in which the heart fills more than usual!. As a result, the next beat can have quite a powerful feel to it!. At times, a premature atrial contraction, or PAC, can feel the same!.

Everyone has the occasional premature beat!. Some feel them, others don't!. People are most prone to these when they are anxious, when they are tired and trying to stay awake, or when they have ingested a cardiac stimulant such as caffeine (found in coffee and in many sodas)!. I believe your situation fits with this description quite well!.

Generally, experiencing the occasional extra beat is not indicative of any real heart abnormality, especially in a young and otherwise healthy person!. However, should this symptom occur with significant frequency you may want to see your doctor!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

You should probably see your doctor and have some routine tests done!. It's probably nothing, but tests will determine that!.

I get them too, but in my case it's related to blood glucose issues!. Don't know that this could be your issue!.!.!.!.!.but you did say "Right now I don't feel dizzy or sick or anything!." Does that mean that sometimes you DO feel dizzy or sick!?

Get yourself checked if that's the case, and for now, don't skip any meals!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
