Question: Can I take Cephalexin for a sore throat!?
I have a sore throat!. I looked down my throat and its white and real red!. I have some Cephalexin laying around the house and I was thinking about taking some!.!.!. Can I treat my sore throat at home!?Or take the Cephalexin!?Www@Answer-Health@Com

Depends on if the bacteria causing your sore throat is sensitive to keflex (cephalexin)!. It is not considered optimal first line treatment for strep (that is the penicillin group)!. It is also possible you have a viral infection or even mono; in which case you do not want to take antibiotics!. Further, you probablly do not have enough pills to even get a good blood level going so it might not work for that reason as well)!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
Yes you can take Cephalexin for a sore throat!. As a matter Cefalexin is used to treat urinary tract infections, respiratory tract infections (including tonsillitis and pneumonia, bronchitis), skin and soft tissue infections!. Penicillin is recommended but if you look at the image below; its kind like the same soar throat you just mentioned!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
