i have type 1, and i know what type 2 is!. but my friend said there is a type 3 and im not sure if thats real!. if it is, what does it do!?Www@Answer-Health@Com

There is what they are calling a type 3!. It does not affect the blood sugar in people though!. It affects the insulin found in the brain and they are saying that it is linked to Alzheimer's!. They said that some type 2 diabetics have a protein in their pancreas that can also be found in the brain of Alzheimer's patients!. Studies are also showing that diabetics (both types) have a 65% chance of developing Alzheimer's!. That's a scary thought!. More studies have to be done and there is nothing else conclusive yet!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Aside from type 1 and type 2 diabetes, there are two forms: gestational diabetes, which happens during pregnancy and goes away after a woman delivers her baby, and CFRD, or cystic fibrosis related diabetes, which is also neither type 1 nor type 2, but a specific diabetes of it's own!.

Hi, i don't believe there is a type 3 diabetes i have been on insulin for 15 years and have kept in touch with the progress!. the latest i have heard is of a inserted pump!.i have a son aged 40 who has kidney failure and the are speaking of inserting this particular item when they work on his kidneys as he also suffers with diebtes i believe it's quite a new thing yet!.codgerWww@Answer-Health@Com
