If a diabetic took a urine test when his levels were low, would it still show he !

Question: If a diabetic took a urine test when his levels were low, would it still show he was a diabetic!?
Answers:
Your glucose level could be normal, and if so, then the tests would not indicate diabetic levels of glucose in the blood!. However, there's another blood test, the A1c, that reflects how your blood levels have been doing for the past three months!. That test likely will show that you are a diabetic, even if the glucose test does not, since it's so difficult for diabetics to keep their insulin levels at appropriate amounts constantly for three months!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Well,!.!.!.that depends how low,!.!.!.If you atke insulin, and you are experiencing hypoglycemia ( low blood sugar ) from the insulin, it may go as low as zero!. Now for non-diabetics it is very rare for their bodies to generate a blood glucose level of below 50, unless they have a severely out of control infection, or hyperinsulinism ( their pancreas makes to much insulin)
Now if your trying for your diabetes to go undetected, and your blood sugar levels are normal for several days before the urine is taken, you should not spill any sugar or proteins into your urine that would make your diabetes obvious!. So technically NO, to answer your questionWww@Answer-Health@Com

It might but probably not!. Urine tests are not good tests to diagnose diabetes or to judge diabetes because it depends on your kidneys!. Your kidneys filter things from your blood and put them into urine!. You would have to assume your kidneys are working perfectly!. Since there is a filtration step between blood and urine, urine blood sugar levels are not accurate reflections of blood sugar levels!. And, it is known that diabetics develop kidney damage much more easily than a non-diabetic!. Urine tests are cheap and easy so they are primarily often used to assess kidney function!. From there, the decision is made to look for diabetes!.

And A1C (aka Hb A1C or hemoglobin A1C) levels have nothing to do with a urine test!. A1C is a BLOOD test!. Yes, it is excellent for judging a person's blood glucose concentrations over the past 3 months!. But its irrelevant to this person's question!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Yes if it's an AC1 test you're taking!. The test will show your sugar levels for the past 2 or 3 months!. Doctors use this test to help in giving you the right amount of insulin!. Your level should be around 6!.5(if you're a diabetic)Www@Answer-Health@Com
