Answers:
No, you don't have to be worried :o) 90 is a wonderful fasting number!.

At 90, if you have symptoms of diabetes, that's not what the symptoms are from!.

A fasting number of 100- 126 is pre-diabetes!. And pre-diabetes simply means that you are going to develop diabetes soon if you don't make some changes!.

So don't worry !.!.!. just start taking care of yourself now!. It will help prevent you from developing diabetes, and has a whole lot of other health benefits besides!.

BTW, I think it's wonderful that you're thinking ahead like that!Www@Answer-Health@Com

The normal range for fasting is up to 110 and up to 140 2 hrs after your meals and not 70-99!.Hence your mother doesn't seem to be a diabetic as her sugar is much below the above level!.

Yes chances of person getting diabetes due to inheritance is 50% but as your mother doesn't seem to be a diabetic hence you may relax!.

The symptoms of diabetes are frequent urination feeling thirsty all the time tiredness and loss of weight!.If you do not have the above symptoms and if your sugar is below 110 then do not worry!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Random (non-fasting) blood glucose level -- diabetes is suspected if higher than 200 mg/dL and accompanied by the classic symptoms of increased thirst, urination, and fatigue (this test must be confirmed with a fasting blood glucose test)!.
Oral glucose tolerance test -- diabetes is diagnosed if glucose level is higher than 200 mg/dL after 2 hours

Symptoms
Type 2 diabetes usually begins gradually and progresses slowly!. Symptoms in adults include:

Excessive thirst
Increased urination
Fatigue
Blurred vision
Weight loss
In women, vaginal yeast infections or fungal infections under the breasts or in the groin
