Question: How to get tested for STD!?
i'm so embarrased!.!. to go!.!. and i don't know what to tell the nurses when they ask me why do i want to see the Doctor!.!. I really like my Doctor but i really don't want the nurses to know why i'm there!.!. After 4 years of marriage !.!. my husband decided to end our marriage and i have a lot of reasons to suspect that he was seeing other person!.!.!. i'm so devastated and scare because i really don't trust him!.!. and i want to get tested!.!. so what can i tell the nurses!?

You don't need to tell the nurses anything when they ask you!.
You could say that it's very private, or simply you want to have get a referral to get blood tests done!.
I think a doctor refers you to a clinic that gets your blood samples,
then sends the tests back to your doctor (that's what happened with me)!.
The nurses asked me why I want to go in, and I just said to have a test done!. I made it sound private by the tone of my voice!.
When I went in the nurse that checks your vitals asked me why I'm in (again) and I just said it's private!.
They don't necessarily need to know why you're in!.
and you do NOT need to tell them why you're going in!.

1!. You are most likely not the first nor second to ask for an STD test!. It happens a lot!.
2!. They don't know you - so they don't care!.
I'm sorry about your marriage!.
Believe me, you are not alone is this world!.
This happens to a lot of women in this world!.
You should get this test done so that you can have clarity,
and closure!. This way you can move on with your life!.
No matter what, it's not the end of the world!.

You really shouldn't be embarrased to go, more than 2 million females a year have an STD before they're 50!. Just make sure that you are clean!. Better safe then sorry!? You don't have to explain anything to them!. Just make up something, like your throat is hurting really badly!. Cough, they don't have to know the truth!. Your doctor will probably do a pap smear!. And I'm sure your doctor has seen it before, just let your doctor know what happened if you want to keep your side of the story on the good side!? Ya know! Good luck and dont stress!. They can be serious, some of them aren't as harmful as others, but you don't even know if you have one so don't freak out!Www@Answer-Health@Com
just be honest when u make your appointment and set up an std testing!Its not that embarrassing i just did it my first time last week!I was happy when i got it done! They just take blood from u and also do a vagina sample and that's all there is to it!And yes u should get tested if u suspect your husband of cheating cause he could of gave u something!Www@Answer-Health@Com
Who cares what the nurses think!? It's not their job to judge you!. You don't have to tell them ALL the detail because they're not your doctor so tell them you're "itching!." That can be a yeast infection for all they know!. =) Hope that helps!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
You are not in any obligation to tell the nurses why you want to see your Doctor!. Talk to your Doctor directly about your concerns, He or She will understand!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
