Reaction to CAT scan Dye?!

Question: Reaction to CAT scan Dye!?
I have since being diagnosed 6 yrs ago with Lung Cancer had many CAT scans and other tests!. In the past 6 months I have become allergic to the dye and even doing the Benedryl and Prednisone did not help!. If the dye is iodine why am I not allergic to shell fish too!? Any ideas!?Www@Answer-Health@Com

Answers:
It may be the concentration of the iodine that you are reacting to, but be aware, that an allergic reaction can occur eventually to even shellfish over time if you continue to get more CAT scans with the contrast dye!.

It may be another compound in the contrast dye that you are reacting to as well,

I would discuss this with your physician at your next visit to make sure you know all the possible things that you may need to avoid!.

Good luck,
