Question: Are the effect of alcohol different for someone with Cystic Fibrosis!?
im 15 and and have CF sure like quite a few people my age i have had a couple of drinks!. im just wondering what the differencees are betweeen a person without CF and a Person with CF!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Excessive alcohol consumption causes dehydration, which can thicken your mucous and make it harder for you to clear your lungs!. Also alcohol depresses your immune system, and most CF patients already have immune problems and are more prone to infection!. I understand your desires to want to engage in the activities in your age!. If you can, you should speak to your doctor in private!.
