The only way Herpes can be tested accurately for is to take a sample of the watery fluid from inside a sore during an outbreak!. I heard they could do a spinal tap and test to see if you had past outbreaks!.!.!.however it wouldn't always be accurate!. Outbreaks don't always stay for long periods of time!.!.and between the occurrences there is no "itching/burning" or any symptoms of any kind!. Maybe you have some kind of infection not related to an std!?!?Www@Answer-Health@Com

If you've been having burning and itching *every* day for two years, why haven't you gone to the doctor about it!? If you tested negative six months after your last sexual encounter, you probably don't have an std!. But you do probably have an infection! Burning and itching are not normal, they're a sign that something is wrong!. Go to the doctor and get it fixed!.

Herpes forms small blisters!. If you don't have blisters, you probably don't have herpes!. But you could have herpes without the symptoms!. The only way to know is to get tested for them, which is a blood test!. They probably did not screen you for herpes when you were tested because it is an expensive test!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

You can get a definitive answer by having a herpes type 1 and 2 antibody test done!. This requires a blood draw!. The test you want run is the Focus Technologies HerpeSelect test!. It is 98% sensitive, and 98% specific to type 1 and type 2 herpes!. It will tell you if you have ever had exposure to the virus, anywhere in your body!. You don't have to be having a current outbreak in order for it to detect the antibodies - once you have ever been exposed to either virus, the antibodies stay in your body forever (since the virus stays there forever as well)!. Older herpes tests are not very accurate and should not be used!.

Do not use the direct viral test where they take a sample swab from the sore - it is fairly inaccurate, and only detects herpes if you are having a current outbreak!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Go to the doctor and get tested again!. You shouldnt be wondering after 2 yrs! life is too short to be stressing over this without any answers!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
