I felt that way at first!. In fact, I used to get a little miffed at my boss for bringing in doughnuts every week despite knowing that I was diabetic!. He's had a stroke, so the last thing he needs are doughnuts with all their saturated fats!. I nearly suggested he bring in bagels until I found out that they have even more carb calories than doughnuts!. That's all ancient history now!.

Nowadays, after learning all I have about healthy eating and exercise, I don't feel so alone!. There are lots of other "health nuts" out there and I feel like I'm one of them!. I look at my diabetes as a warning that I'd better be very serious about my health and I've learned to enjoy everything about it!. Instead of feeling shortchanged for not being able to have treats, I feel empowered to show others that there's always a way to learn to enjoy whatever life throws at you!. Being diabetic is a breeze compared to being paraplegic or having multiple sclerosis, for example!. It's all about perspective!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

It can feel like your the only one having to deal with the fluctuating bloods and feeling sh*t!

I think everyone feels like this at some stage, even if its not diabetes!.

As someone suggested join a group or see if you can find a local one were you can talk to others!.

I know how hard it is when others are saying, 'don't let it rule your life', but considering all the blood testing and carb counting a diabetic has to do every day of the year, that can be difficult!.

Good luck!Www@Answer-Health@Com

I doubt that being diabetic is your problem!. You sound like you're depressed and being a diabetic can cause depression in some people!.
My wife is a diabetic and takes four or more injections each day and numerous finger sticks!. I have COPD and have to spend a lot of time on breathing treatments!. It's a pain to have to do these things, but it has to be done!.
In my own personal experience it helps to be thankful that things are not any worse than they are and learn to live with it!. There is always someone who is worse off than you are, who would trade places with you if that were possible!. But, that's not possible!. We have to play the cards we draw!. Even in card playing, some people are consistent winners!. They know the rules, they know people and they know how to bluff!. You can learn to be happy in any situation once you learn that happiness and contentment come from within yourself and not from things or the actions of other people!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Wow!. If I could, I would slap the person behind the first answer!.

Do you have a Myspace!? Theres 2 really great groups on there with some nice, understanding people!. I think the majority of the people who participate are type 1, but if you're type 2, you can still talk to them (or rant, you can say whatever you want) and they'll understand!.

Sure :o) there are lots of people !.!.!.

I'm not a diabetic, but my 2 year old daughter is (type 1)!. So I understand a little, from seeing her go through it!.

You can join an online group, there are some good ones!. There are also a lot of great people here in the diabetes section!. Hang out here for a while, you'll meet some people!.

Are you a type 1!? If so, you can call your local branch of the JDRF!. They will find people just like you to talk to!.

I don't know if there's a similar thing for type 2's or not!.

I just tried to add you to my contacts!. You should allow people to add you, that's how I keep track of my new friends :o)Www@Answer-Health@Com
